The 32-year-old Italian striker had been speculated as a potential replacement for Luca Toni at Walter Zenga's side, however the Dubai club have rubbished the linkUAE Pro-League runners-up Al Nasr have denied reports that they have held talks with Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli.
Speaking exclusively to Goal.com, Al Nasr management clarified that Walter Zenga's side hadn't been in contact with the 32-year-old about a potential move to Dubai.
Several media outlets in the Middle East had reported the potential move, with Miccoli recently stating his future at Palermo was "50-50".
Miccoli has long been linked with a transfer to the Middle East and a possible reunion with former Palermo boss Zenga and ex-team-mate Mark Bresciano had been tipped.
Al Nasr are in the market for a big-name European player as they are expected to release former Italy international striker Luca Toni from his contract after failing to make a significant impact in the latter half of the 2011-12 season.
