Iran coach Carlos Queiroz has named an 18-man squad for first preparation camp ahead of their 2014 World Cup qualifier games in June, with a friendly against UAE approaching on April 17.

Queiroz’s team will hold a four-day training camp in Dubai in mid-April, followed by an exhibition game against UAE.

Initial reports of friendly games with Nigeria have been called off by Iran football officials, and a friendly against Japan has reportedly been postponed to October 2012.

Queiroz is determined to test talented youngsters in the match as usual starters of Esteghlal, Persepolis and Sepahan teams will miss the camp due to club commitments.
