Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute could be set for a move to West Asia to join Al Sadd or Bani Yas, according to a Spanish report.

AS claims the 34-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the 2011-12 season, has a number of offers on the table from the Middle East.

Qatari club Al Sadd, who won the 2011 Asian Champions League, reportedly chased Kanoute's services last June, with a contract offer worth €3.5 million and have now revived their interest in the forward.

However, following an offer from Russian big-spenders Anzhi Makhachkala, Kanoute said last month that he would not leave Spain in January.

Meanwhile, UAE outfit Bani Yas recently lost the services of David Trezeguet following an injury-plagued short spell at the club. Bani Yas boss Gabriel Calderon is understood to be keen to replace the Frenchman with a quality foreign player.

Kanoute, formerly of Olympique Lyonnais, Tottenham and West Ham, has been with Sevilla since 2005. The Malian has made 19 appearances this season, scoring seven goals.
