Kuwait Look To Defeat Indonesia And Go Top Of Asian Cup Qualification Group
The former powerhouse of West Asia is looking to rise again...
Kuwait lie in third place in Group B with three points, one point behind Australia and Oman.
With the top two meeting in Muscat, Kuwait coach Goran Tufegdzic knows that a win will put his team into second at least.
"Our situation in the group means that we have to win the game in order to improve our chances of qualifying to the Asian Cup," said Tufegdzic according to the-afc.com.
"If we win on Saturday, then we could be top of the group. "The game against Indonesia is not going to be easy as they are an organised side and they usually play very professionally.
"We know about the majority of Indonesia players as we have watched their previous matches against Australia and Oman.
"We have prepared well for the match as we have played a lot of friendlies. These preparations will help us in the game on Saturday as we have improved the cohesion of our team.
"We expect a tough match because Indonesia are also trying to improve their chances in the group and a defeat will dent their chances to qualify for the Asian Cup." Indonesia have two points from their opening two games.
