Semen Padang striker Ferdinand Sinaga claims 'unamed' Thailand club interest

The Bengkulu-born forward successfully helped his club to clinch Indonesian Premier League's title last season and has been heavily linked with a move to Thailand
Semen Padang striker Ferdinand Sinaga has revealed that an 'unnamed' Thai Premier League club are interested in signing him.

The Indonesia international played a part in Kabau Sirah's success story in last season's Indonesian Premier League triumph and has since been linked to several other Indonesian clubs.

"At this stage, I'm in communication with a Thai Premier League club," Ferdinand told reporters this week. "I've checked on the internet about the club, the club's participants were in the first-tier competition in Thailand."

"But I can't disclose the club's name until my current training camp with the national team is finished."

The 23-year-old also admitted that he desires a fresh start now that his contract with Semen Padang has been concluded.

"I've talked with Semen Padang about my future in the club, but the agreement was unclear for me," he said.

"For now, I want to seek a new experience with another club, especially since a lot of clubs are interested in me."

Sinaga  made 22 appearances for Semen Padang last season, becoming the league's top scorer with 15 goals.
