Arthur Irawan played his first match for Espanyol Reserves, as they ran out 3-1 winners in a season warm-up game against Taradell.
The match, the first of Espanyol’s pre-season friendlies, wound up the reserves’ week-long training camp in the Pyrenees village of Ribes de Freser.
Irawan, 19, who has stepped up to the reserves from the Juvenile squad, made his debut at right-back for the first 45 minutes, before the rest of the squad was given a run-out in the second half.
After Gerard scored for Taradell, Victor Amero (twice, one penalty) and Aitor, scored for Espanyol.
