Philippines' 2012 AFC Challenge Cup star Phil Younghusband says he's proud to be voted the Goal.com Readers' Asian Player of the Month for March.
Former Chelsea striker Younghusband was named in Goal.com's Asian Best XI after winning the Golden Shoe at the Challenge Cup where the Azkals finished in an impressive third spot.
"I feel very proud and very honoured to be named amongst some of the best and most talented players in Asia," Younghusband told Goal.com.
"It gives me great satisfaction to be recognised for my hard work and for something I've trained all my life doing.
"I am very thankful for the opportunity to represent the Philippines and I thank all my team-mates and everyone who has helped me follow my dream."
