The Thunder Castle coach encouraged his team to shine in their opening Asian Champions League match against the Japanese champions

Thai Premier League champions Buriram United are high on confidence ahead of their Asian Champions League debut against Japanese outfit Kashiwa Reysol on Wednesday.

Buriram coach Attapol Buspakom told reporters he believes the Thunder Castle are capable of getting off to a winning start in their Asian campaign against the Japanese champions.

"We have studied their playing style and we will be playing in front of our supporters at our I-Mobile Stadium," Buspakom said.

"They are a strong team but we are capable of getting the three points, and I believe that we can beat Kashiwa Reysol."

Moreover, the team captain Apichet Puttan agreed with his coach's statement, based on their good performance when they defeated Japanese team Vegalta Sendai in the Toyota Premier Cup last month.

"We are looking forward to the match. We don't have pressure because we are seen as the underdogs," he said.

He added: "However, our confidence has been boosted after we won over Vegalta Sendai last month."
