VFF president Nguyen Trong Hy said this week that the Calisto is not willing to talk about his continued future as the head coach of Vietnam until after the VFF Cup next week.
The VFF Cup, which is for U23 teams, will be held from November 5-9 and will see Vietnam taking on youngsters from China, Thailand and Singapore.
Calisto’s contract, which he signed in early 2008, expires on 31 March 2010.
“This is not the right time to talk about this important matter,” said Calisto after a training session with the Vietnam U23 squad.
