Japan: Omiya Ardija Coach Jang Woe-Ryeong Is Replaced By Jun Suzuki

It's all change in Saitama...

Jang Woe-ryeong has stepped down as coach of Japanese club Omiya Ardija citing ill health and poor results.

The South Korean took the reins of the J-League club before the start of the 2009 season and led the Squirrels to 13th last season.

2010 has been worse. After eight games of  the new campaign, Omiya are joint bottom of Japan’s top flight with just five points from eight games.

According to the club’s official homepage, Jang, formerly the coach of K-League outfit Incheon United, looks set to stay at the club to provide advice of potential foreign signings.

Jang will be replaced by Jun Suzuki, former coach of Albirex Niigata and Montedio Yamagata.
