Japan: Kashima Antlers Want Oswaldo Oliveira To Stay On

The J-League giants want an extension...

Oliveira coach-Kashima Antlers
Japanese champions Kashima Antlers want Oswaldo Oliveira to stay on as coach regardless of what happens this season.

The Brazilian has led the Ibaraki club to two consecutive titles in the J-League.

With two matches of 2009 season remaining, Kashima are two points clear at the top of the table.

According to reports in the Japanese media, Oliveira, in his third season with the club, will sit down with the club after the current campaign ends on December 5.

A third straight title would cement the coach’s place as the most successful in Japanese football history.

"He is always battling in the title race and helped the team book a spot in the Asian Champions League," said a club official according to Kyodo News Agency.
