China: Shandong Two Clear With One Game Left
With one game remaining in the Chinese Super League season, Shandong Luneng have moved two points clear of Shanghai Shenhua after being handed an automatic 3-0 win over Wuhan who had earlier withdrawn from the league.
Shanghai attacked from the start at Dalian but were unable to break down a well-organised defence.
The match ended goalless despite two efforts from Shanghai that hit the woodwork. It was a welcome point for the struggling Dalian but they need one more to be safe from the drop after relegation rivals Liaoning defeated Qingdao 3-2.
Elsewhere, Beijing stay third with a 1-0 win over Changhsa, Tianjin are still fourth after a 2-0 defeat of Changchun while one-time leaders Shanxi are in fifth thanks to a 3-0 triumph over Chengdu.
Shenzhen downed Zhejiang 3-2 while Henan lost 4-2 at Guangzhou.
