Napoli received international clearance for January signing Jesus Datolo on Friday and the 24-year-old has travelled with the rest of his team-mates to Sicily for tonight’s ‘Posticipo’ against Palermo.

However, Partenopei boss Edy Reja revealed during yesterday’s press conference that the ex-Boca Juniors man has little chance to make his Serie A bow.

“Jesus has just come back from Argentina and is included in the squad, but I don’t think he will be ready to play, considering he has gone back and forth over the past few days,” explained the tactician.

Datolo landed in Naples last week and was unveiled at the Stadio San Paolo before the game with Udinese, but flew back to his homeland to get a work permit and returned to Campania on Saturday morning.

The Vesuviani will try to get over their travel sickness tonight, as they have lost their last six games on the road, but Palermo have a superb record at home.

“Yes, we do know that,” noted Reja. “but we aim to turn things around and bring home a good result.

"There is a hot atmosphere at the Barbera, but we can have a chance if we play with the right attitude.”
