It was just after 7pm when Marek Hamsik was driving through 'Via Caio Duillo' in his black Mini Cooper, when two criminals on scooters stopped his car and broke the windows, terrorising the young Napoli player.

There were some people around at the time, but since the robbers were carrying guns no one tried to help, even though they recognised the 21-year-old midfielder.

The thieves left the location with his wallet - which contained €800 and various personal documents - his house keys and a Rolex watch of high value.

Afterwards Hamsik went to the police headquarters to report the incident and investigations are currently being carried out.

This is not the first incident involving a Napoli player as a month ago Andrea Russotto was robbed of his BMW, but luckily for him it was found later on.
