The transfer window is open and it is inevitable that the news focuses on potential destinations of unsettled players and the clubs that hope to land useful ones for a bargain.

A player who has been in the news a great deal recently is Fiorentina's Giampaolo Pazzini, and the striker is virtually certain to leave the Viola this month, with a long list of Italian and English clubs keen to get him to sign a contract with them.

The former Under-21 international is tracked by so many clubs that a guess at which one he will join is anything but a sure bet.

The attacker scored nine goals last season for Fiorentina, and was impressive all round, but this campaign has seen Pazzini struggle to find space in the Viola line up, prompting the move that awaits him.

Palermo, Sampdoria, Bologna and Torino are all reportedly following the Fiorentina striker, while Genoa, Napoli, West Ham and Everton have also shown interest, but the latest addition is yet another Italian side, Udinese.

The Bianconeri seem ready to swoop for the Tuscan player, especially if Fabio Quagliarella decides to leave. The Friulani could take advantage of the interest that Fiorentina previously had in Colombian defender Manuel Zapata in order to complete a deal.
