Ahead of the Serie A match-up against close rivals Fiorentina, Udinese sporting director Pietro Leonardi has once again confirmed that the club intend to hold on to Cristian Zapata and Gaetano D'Agostino.
"In comparison, certainly both we and the Viola have common characteristics in terms of mentality and club management," Leonardi told violanews.com. "My relationship with (Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo) Corvino is great, but it's been some time since we've spoken."
The Zebrette have been doing extremely well in Serie A this season, and two of their best performers have been Zapata and D'Agostino, who are both gathering plenty of admirers across Europe, including the Tuscan club.
"D'Agostino? He is an important player on Udinese who just received his first national call-up, Corvino knows we won't let him go," explained Leonardi. "The same goes for Zapata."
This will certianly not be the last of the transfer talk heard about these two Udinese stars. 26-year-old D'Agostino is enjoying a breakout campaign, while 22-year-old Colombian Zapata is considered one of the best young talents in Europe at the moment.
