An Antonio Di Natale's brace and a goal from Neapolitan hitman Antonio Floro Flores brought down the Lupi and propelled the Friulan outfit to the top of the table along with Inter and Napoli.

"The Nerazzurri and the Partenopei are both great teams, but it is too early to talk about a Scudetto challenge from us," coach Pasquale Marino told journalists after the encounter.

"I know that we have a big advantage, as Udine is a calm environment that enables us to work in the best possible way."

Roma boss Luciano Spalletti alleged that the penalty that gave Udinese the lead was dubious, as the foul apparently started outside the box.

"That happened only a few minutes into the game," mused the ex-Catania boss, "however, I feel we totally deserved the victory regardless of that spot-kick and I do not really care about my counterpart's opinion."

Udinese have now, along with Lazio, the best attack in Serie A with 15 goals to their name and travel to Sicily to take on Catania next Wednesday.
