The Napoli defender has been linked to several clubs including Fiorentina, Lazio and the Bianconeri.

However, his move to the north-east doesn’t seem likely following Leonardi’s latest revelations.

“Domizzi to Udine? I don’t think so, I haven’t heard anything,” Leonardi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“We are speaking about an excellent player but we are evaluating our situation.

“Felipe and Zapata have been excellent and we are still waiting for Coda and Motta to return from the Olympics. Therefore, we are fine in defence.”

Pasquale Marino’s men have qualified for the UEFA Cup this term and they will be hoping for a good run in Europe as well as Serie A.

Further reinforcements are unlikely to arrive in a squad which has remained largely the same as last term.

The major transfer market happenings were Emanuele Belardi’s loan move from Juventus and Andrea Dossena’s switch to Liverpool.
