Primera Division side Sevilla have received some disappointing news from the treatment table in the aftermath of their disappointing 2-0 league loss away against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday evening.
The Nervionenses will probably have to make do without the services of striker Luis Fabiano for a while as the Brazilian star has picked up a knee injury in his side's defeat.
Fabiano was forced to leave the pitch after 71 minutes of play due to the knock and head coach Gregorio Manzano fears that the striker will be sidelined for several weeks.
"He has yet to undergo further examination, but the first signs suggest that it could be serious. I hope that he only stretched the knee, but it could be ligament damage," said Manzano to Sport.
The injury means that Fabiano could very well miss the upcoming home match against table-toppers Barcelona next weekend.
