The 1996 Champions League winner has heaped praise on the Goal 50 star, who is interesting the Catalunya giants and new Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal

Barcelona and Manchester United target Juan Cuadrado is the best player in the world in his position, according to former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi.
Cuadrado, who finished 28th in Goal’s annual list of the 50 greatest players from the past season, was one of the stars of the 2014 World Cup - finishing the tournament with the most assists.
The Colombia winger is a target for Catalunya giants Barcelona as well as new Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal, with Fiorentina believed to value him at the €35-40 million mark.
"At this moment I really think he is the top player in his role," Tacchinardi told Goal. "He plays with brilliance, speed and intelligence.
"He is an old-fashioned winger, always unpredictable with the beating of his man. He reminds me a bit of Roberto Donadoni during his time at AC Milan: a winger who always knew how to help his team by switching on the turbo on the flank.
"He is electric but has so much strength in his muscles. The Colombian really is unique. We have to hope that Serie A is not deprived of his class, the league would lose so much."
Another former Juventus star, Franco Causio, also hailed the development of Cuadrado - a player he saw when the Colombian first joined Udinese in 2009.
"He is one of the best and he showed this also at the World Cup with some brilliant performances with his national team," Causio told Goal.
“I knew him as a young kid when he arrived at Udinese. I saw him up close and even then you could see he had immense potential. Today there is no one like him and I really hope that Italian football does not lose him.
"Certainly, his asking price is a crazy amount of money, but the player is worth a significant amount. He is unpredictable and he sends his opponents spinning like they are bowling pins. He is a player from a fable."
Cuadrado scored 15 goals in all competitions last season for Fiorentina and was one of six Serie A players on the Goal 50 list.
