The former Barcelona captain has posted pictures of himself raising his partner with his feet as he shows that he fully intends to stay in shape despite his retirement
The former Barcelona captain has taken to impromptu yoga as part of his post-career training regime after retiring from football in the summer, with girlfriend Vanessa Lorenzo proving to be a handy accomplice.
The 36-year-old, who spent 15 years with the Blaugrana and counts three Champions League titles among his roll of honour, was snapped lifting Lorenzo in various acrobatic holds to show the extent to which he is working hard to remain in shape in his retirement.
In one of the remarkable poses, Puyol is laid with his back flat against the floor with Lorenzo perched on his feet with her thighs as she too hangs upside down.
Puyol quit the sport at the end of his Barca contract following a string of knee injuries. But the former Spain international is clearly not about to let that stop him from working out as he comes to terms with life without football.
The Catalan legend racked up 23 medals during his career, including a World Cup and European Championship with La Roja and six Liga crowns at Barcelona.
