Spain head coach Vicente del Bosque has announced he will not use any Real Madrid or Atletico players in Friday's friendly against Bolivia.
The cross-city rivals clashed in Saturday's Champions League final, with Carlo Ancelotti's side running out 4-1 winners to secure a record 10th European crown, and Del Bosque has opted to rest the internationals involved in the fixture.
Spain were thought to be announcing their final 23-man line-up on Sunday ahead of this summer's tournament in Brazil, but instead merely confirmed that the eight players in the provisional squad from the two Madrid clubs will not play against Bolivia.
From newly-crowned Champions League winners Madrid, the list includes goalkeeper Iker Casillias, defenders Sergio Ramos and Daniel Carvajal and midfielder Xabi Alonso.
Atleti players Juanfran, Koke, David Villa and Diego Costa will also not feature in the upcoming friendly.
Spain will also play El Salvador on June 7 ahead of mounting their defence of their World Cup crown, beginning with a Group B clash against the Netherlands on June 13.
