The Blancos boss has admitted that his side were under pressure to secure all three points and is not overly concerned with his team's defending from cornersReal Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti admitted that his side suffered for their 3-2 win over Valencia at Mestalla on Sunday.
The Spanish giants needed a late goal from Jese to come away with all three points and the former Chelsea boss has admitted that they were under pressure following Atletico Madrid and Barcelona's wins earlier in the weekend.
"It was a difficult match and we did well. We needed to maintain a high tempo and we stopped doing that after the first goal, but we were always desperate to win. Right until the end. And we suffered to do that. Today's result was vital," he told AS.
"It was vital to win today's game because there was a lot of pressure on us. We began the game eight points behind and it wasn't easy."
Madrid conceded another goal from a set piece for Valencia's second equaliser and the Italian is certain that the problem will rectify itself with hard work.
"We haven't conceded a lot of goals from set pieces this year, even though we've let in two of them in our last two matches, but we've played 26 matches this year. If we focus more it'll be okay," he said.
Real Madrid restart the season after the winter hiatus by hosting Celta Vigo on January 4.
