Real Betis-Barcelona Betting Preview: Backing goals at both ends is the path to profit for punters

Our man in Spain Phil Kitromilides believes history will repeat itself once more in this fixture and both teams will find the back of the net
A visit from top of the table Barcelona is just what Real Betis did not need in their current run of form as Pepe Mel's side are without a league win since September and off the bottom of the table only on goal difference.

Barcelona looked excellent in parts against AC Milan midweek and the Blaugrana are offered at 2/7 (1.29)
with BetVictor to record their 12th win of the season. Betis, for their part, can be backed at 11/1 (12.00), while the draw is available at 11/2 (6.50).

Yet the Estadio Benito Villamarin has been a tough place for Barca to visit in recent years, with the Catalans winning just one of their last six matches in all competitions away to Betis.

The Verdiblancos seem to raise their game whenever the Catalans are in town and their precarious league position requires them to put in a big performance on Sunday evening.

Braver punters might be tempted by the price of 17/2 (8.50) for Betis "Draw No Bet", which sees your stake returned if the match ends all-square, although that is clearly quite a long shot against a Barca team yet to lose this season, even with the history of this fixture taken into account.

Instead, both teams to score at 31/40 (1.77) looks like an excellent option.

This bet has paid out in 13 of the last 15 competitive meetings between these sides and, with Betis scoring in six of their last eight games, there should definitely be goals at both ends at the Benito Villamarin.
