The versatile defender believes his compatriot forms a fine duo with the Argentine and has insisted the latter remains a key figure for Barcelona
There were question marks about whether Messi and Neymar would be compatible earlier this season, but they have impressed together so far this campaign.
And Adriano feels Barcelona could not have wished for a better duo in attack.
"It’s an honour to have them both in the team. They are the best duo that a team could have," Adriano told reporters.
The full-back then went on to discuss Messi's recent dip in form and insisted that the Argentina international has always remained a key figure for Barcelona.
"Messi has always been happy. He’s essential and we really feel it when he doesn’t play."
The 26-year-old has netted 14 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions in 2013-14.
