thumbnail Hello,

The Spain international believes los Blancos are already on the right track, but has insisted his team-mates must step up their game if they are to win silverware

Sergio Ramos has stressed that Real Madrid have to improve if they are to be successful this season, but feels Wednesday's 2-1 Champions League win over Juventus showed that they are on the right track.

Cristiano Ronaldo gifted Madrid an early lead after rounding Gianluigi Buffon before Fernando Llorente restored parity when he pounced on a rebound.

Ronaldo then netted his second of the game from the spot to help the Santiago Bernabeu side to their third consecutive Champions League victory, but Ramos believes they must do better in order to win the competition.

"It's true that there are things we need to improve upon, but in terms of facing into our next games, there is no better way than to win a game like Wednesday's," the 27-year-old told the official Uefa website.

"A victory always lifts the morale of the team. We are on the right path in terms of what we are working to achieve which is why we are getting good results.

"The win over Juventus will help us to continue getting better in certain aspects and also to gain more rhythm. I think you will see our best side very soon."

Real Madrid resume domestic action on Saturday when they take on Barcelona at Camp Nou.
