Xavi insists that there is no need for a dramatic turnover of players at Barcelona this summer.
The Blaugrana were routed 7-0 on aggregate by Bayern Munich when the two sides met in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
However, while Xavi acknowledges that Barca need to refresh their squad, he does not believe that the newly-crowned champions of Spain are a side in need of a complete makeover.
"At key moments this season we have not reached our peak and I am in favour of changing things up," he told reporters on Wednesday.
"But just because it seems that we are in a bad situation does not mean that we have to change the whole team. We are in a good moment.
"We have set the bar so high that it now seems that winning league titles is just what we do. But it's very difficult to win a title every year."
Xavi also insisted that this year's title, his seventh, meant as much to him as his first, and argued that every championship success should be cherished by players and fans alike.
"I am proud and happy to have seven league titles," the Spain international explained. "They are all important to me.
"That this generation has won so many titles makes me very happy and it is not about what I have gained, but the club.
"As a cule, which is what I am, you tend to be more pessimistic than optimistic, and I never could have imagined winning so many titles.
"But we have been successful with our philosophy and I hope that it lasts. I hope to maintain this high level of performance over the last three years of my contract."
Barca can equal the Liga points record for a single season (100) if they win their two remaining games of the current campaign.
