Malaga 'very optimistic' of overturning European ban

The Andalusians think that they have a strong chance of having their exclusion from European competition overruled

Malaga general manager Vicente Casado has claims that the club are “very optimistic” of having their one-season ban from European competition cancelled.
However, the Andalusians have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and Casado says they have a strong case to have the ban overturned.
“We are very optimistic,” he told the club’s official website.
“We have met with our obligations and we will prove it.”
The hearing with the CAS is likely to take place on May 14.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side face Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals of this season's Champions League.
