Javier Mascherano has hailed Barcelona's achievements in recent years, and feels their comeback in the Champions League round of 16 tie against AC Milan proves that they are still competitive at the highest level.
The Blaugrana beat the Serie A outfit 4-0 on Tuesday to turn around the 2-0 defeat from the first leg and Mascherano has stressed that Barca must keep up their current form.
"What we have achieved in the last five years is crazy. This team is still competitive, and that’s what we should be appreciating," the Argentine told Barca TV.
"We shouldn’t turn one defeat into a tragedy. And neither have we now suddenly entered paradise. We have passed this test, but there are still eight great teams left in the Champions league.
"We have to carry on like that. This club can’t let its arms down.
"Let’s hope there are no more setbacks. We have to make sure we stay on this track, regardless of results."
Barcelona are currently preparing for the Liga match at home against Rayo Vallecano.
