Barcelona cannot afford to relax, warns Adriano

The Blaugrana full-back has called for his side to maintain their focus, as he believes that whilst the Camp Nou outfit have a healthy lead, they have not won La Liga yet

Adriano says Barcelona cannot relax despite having a nine-point lead at the top of the Spanish Primera Division, as he insists the title race is far from over.

The Brazil international warned that if his side are to become complacent, then, second-placed Atletico Madrid or even Real Madrid could capitalise and come from behind to secure the Liga crown.

"We cannot relax because Real Madrid will not give up and Atletico are doing very well." Adriano told reporters.

"If we don't relax, we'll be champions of La Liga."

The 28 year-old went on to discuss how the players miss both their former coach, Pep Guardiola, and current boss Tito Vilanova.

"We miss him [Tito] day to day," admitted Adriano.

The full-back also spoke of the squad's joy at their summer fixture against Bayern Munich where former boss Guardiola is due to takeover in the summer.

He said: "It will be very special to go face to face with Pep."
