Pardeza: Real Madrid's reputation is on the line every match

The Santiago Bernabeu side have fallen 18 points behind Barcelona in the Liga table, and it has been suggested that they could give up on the league and focus on the Champions League and Copa del Rey instead.
However, Pardeza has stressed that Madrid always want to win every game, regardless of the importance of a match.
"Our reputation is on the line at every match. When Madrid fail to win it needs to be considered a disappointment because we always want to win," the club chief was quoted as saying on the official Madrid website.
The Blancos had to make do without the services of Cristiano Ronaldo in the scoreless draw against Osasuna at the weekend, and Pardeza has admitted that they missed their star player.
"You always miss the great players," he added. "Ronaldo scores a lot of goals, but he wasn’t there against Osasuna."
Madrid are currenty preparing for the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Valencia on Tuesday.
