Marcelo back in training at Real Madrid
The Selecao full-back has rejoined his team in preparation for the Copa del Rey clash against Celta Vigo having had a spell on the sidelines since October last year
Real Madrid left-back Marcelo has resumed training after being made unavailable for almost three months because of a broken foot. The Brazilian had fractured his fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot while on international duty with Brazil in October 2012, having appeared six times in the league for los Blancos so far this season.
He is now ready to rejoin his side in preparation for the second leg against Celta Vigo on January 9 at Santiago Bernabeu, with Jose Mourinho's men trailing 2-1 from the clash in the Balaidos Stadium after Cristiano Ronaldo gave the visitors a lifeline.
Mourinho has decided to miss the Ballon d'Or awards as he is up for Coach of the Year award on Monday to concentrate on Wednesday's encounter.
The Liga title holders currently sit third in La Liga, already 16 points behind table-toppers Barcelona.
