Los Che, who lie ninth in La Liga, are struggling to cement a spot in the top half of the table and sit nine points off third place.
“I've always been a positive person and I try to take the best out of a bad situation, but it has been a year of many ups and downs," the 23-year-old said.
"Personally I've experienced some very nice situations. I played in competitions that I never dreamed of playing in. I hope though, that my personal success can be accompanied by team success as well.
“We want to win titles and give joy to the fans.”
Valencia have finished third in the last two Liga seasons and looked capable of shaking up a Spanish title race often seen as a competition between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
But the sale of talented stars like David Villa, David Silva and Juan Mata, designed to service debts incurred while building a new stadium, have taken their toll in the current campaign.
