Athletic Bilbao defender Amorebieta denies rift with coach Bielsa
The defender claims there are no tensions between himself and the Argentine coach, with the Venezuelan having recently lost his place in the side
Dropped centre-back Fernando Amorebieta has used his Twitter account to deny suggestions that he has fallen out with Athletic Bilbao trainer Marcelo Bielsa.The 27-year-old was at fault when the Basque side suffered an embarassing away goals defeat to second division outfit Eibar in the Copa del Rey.
Having lost his place in the team to French 18-year-old Aymeric Laporte, Amorebieta took to the social media site to dismiss the rumours.
“I write this tweet to clarify that this information is totally false,” Amorebieta tweeted.
“I have not had any problems with my coach," the post concluded.
The former Argentina and Chile coach has been embarassed on a number of occassion this season when secret recordings of the 57-year-old's dressing room team talks have been leaked to the press.
