Song: Barcelona will not change style of play against Celtic

The Cameroon international midfielder is eagerly anticipating the match at Parkhead, and has stressed that the Blaugrana want to stay true to their own philosophy

Alex Song has insisted that Barcelona will not change their style of play in Wednesday's Champions League Group G match away against Celtic.

Despite winning 2-1 two weeks ago, the Catalans struggled to cope with the Scottish champions' negative approach. Nevertheless, Song has made it clear that the Blaugrana have no intention to change their game-plan.

"Celtic played a very good match at Camp Nou. They came out to defend and score on the counter," Song was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"We cannot focus on Celtic’s approach to the game, we need to be concerned with how we play. We won’t change our style of play. We’ve come here to play our style, to have the ball and play it quickly.

"It’s an important match for us and we have to play with the intention of winning the three points.

"The most important thing is that we continue to play with our style and that we win our games."

Wednesday's encounter at Parkhead is scheduled to kick off at 20:45CET.
