Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has stated that he is happier playing in a more central role for his club.
Blaugrana coach Tito Vilanova trusted the 25-year-old with a pivotal position in the middle of the pitch against Deportivo on Saturday, which the Catalan giants won 5-4 following an eventful match. And the former Arsenal man was happy with how he fitted into the Barca team.
After putting in an outstanding performance, providing three assists for his side, the Spain international told reporters: "I felt at home in the position I was playing in, I had more space, I had more of the ball and more passes reached me."
Vilanova now faces the dilemma of who to play in central midfield for their next match, whether to stick with Fabregas or bring back playmaker Xavi.
Barcelona are currently preparing for their Champions League fixture against Celtic, which takes place at Camp Nou on Tuesday, with kick-off at 20.45CET.
