The 42-year-old, who made over 200 Liga appearances for the Blaugrana during his active career, is thoroughly enjoying the way his former employers have presented themselves in recent years, while praising Tito Vilanova for the manner in which he has preserved Pep Guardiola's legacy.
"This is a golden age for Barcelona and we have to enjoy it. We are going through Barca’s best ever era," Luis Enrique was quoted as saying on the Catalan giants' official website.
"Tito is carrying on in the same vein [as Pep Guardiola]. He has changed the odd thing, where he has added his own touch, but the style and identity remain as the fans know and love them. I really like this Barcelona side.
"The club's title rivals? I’m only interested in Barca – we are doing so well that we don’t need to look at the other teams."
Luis Enrique is currently out of work after leaving his position as Roma boss at the end of the 2011-12 campaign.
