The Chilean tactician maintains that he has firm belief in his side to turn their season around, whilst also slamming the media for a leaked team-talkAthletic Bilbao coach Marcelo Bielsa has insisted that morale has not dropped in his squad, despite the club's poor form continuing.
The Basque side have not won in five games, with rumours of a rift between Fernando Llorente and the coach surfacing, but the 57-year-old maintains his belief in his side.
"My mood has two interpretations. [The] succession of negative results can not generate joy and satisfaction, [but the] prospect of a new party [makes] me very excited, because I firmly believe in the team," the Argentine trainer said in a press conference.
"The urgency to win can never generate discouragement – quite the opposite."
Bielsa also criticised the media for reporting on a leaked team-talk from last season's Copa del Rey final defeat against Barcelona.
"It seems a waste of time to dwell on something [so] recognised that journalism is used. It's a vicious cycle, and no-one is willing to make the contribution to improve the human quality of those who participate in it," he added.
"The worst thing is that we are all imperfect, but contagious recipients of information which they see as natural realities, produce dissemination of such quibbles."
