Falcao is the best striker in the world, says Atletico Madrid supremo Cerezo

Los Rojiblancos' president has lauded his star player, and assured that his club will focus on their game against Malaga rather than pay attention to Sunday's Clasico

The club official has become just the latest to personally pay tribute to the 26-year-old, after he racked up seven league goals in a mere five appearances, whilst his prolific form has proven fundamental to his side's latest European successes.
"I certify that Falcao is the best in the world," said Cerezo to AS. "I say it by referring to evidence."
"I would not swap him for [Lionel] Messi or [Cristiano] Ronaldo. Many would be keen to take his services, but he plays for Atletico, something we're delighted with."
Los Rojiblancos' 1-0 victory over Espanyol at the weekend sees Diego Simeone's outfit just behind front-runners Barcelona in the Primera Division, something Cerezo believes Atletico Madrid can keep up, so long as they focus on themselves.
"This team is hungry for victory, and we are excited and eager to win. We are not an easy opponent for anyone, and will not give anything away easily.
"I do not care what happens in the Clasico [between Barcelona and Real Madrid]. What really interests us is three points in the match against Malaga, a great team that is not dissimilar to us.
"They will eventually have to include us [as potential winners] for the title, if we go step by step, game by game, as usual."
