After a 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Los Che fell to a 2-0 defeat to Mallorca, through goals from Víctor and Javier Arizmendi.
Despite their inconsistent form, which sees the club reside in 14th place in the table, Pellegrino says he cannot ask for any more from his players.
"My players have left their skin on the field and playing this well, [we are] going to win many games," he told Marca.
"Our defensive errors have been expensive and, frankly, I [fail to] find even five minutes where Mallorca has dominated, but you have to forget what happened and work and think about the next opponents."
Despite lauding his team's efforts, Pellegrino did admit Valencia have not started the way he had expected.
"The reality is that we have lost three games in six days. Everything can be improved, but again, we have tried everything," he added.
"We were better than Mallorca in passing, shots on goal and tackles. What have we missed? The last pass to make the goal."
