thumbnail Hello,

The Argentine accepts the victory over the minnows, although he admits his team barely emerged on top during the match

Valencia coach Mauricio Pellegrino is thankful his team were able to collect their first win of the season, but praised the resolve of visitors Celta Vigo during the hard-fought 2-1 victory.

Los Che had former Lyon left-back Aly Cissokho to thank for the winner in avoiding a run of three straight draws, after Sofiane Feghouli's opener for the home side was cancelled out by Michael Krohn-Delhi.

"The result helps us move forward, despite the fact we were not quite right," Pellegrino conceded at the post-match press conference. "They have quality players who bothered us a lot in the first half."

"We could not counter their work at the beginning, but the situation changed from the start of the second half, and we improved from there.

“The team is in good condition to travel to Munich on Wednesday, despite days of travel and working apart with different national teams.”

Pellegrino will be hopeful the win at the weekend will spur his men on against Jupp Heynckes' Bayern Munich, when the latter play host to the Mestalla outfit in Champions League action.
