AC Milan forward Bojan Krkic has hit out at former club Barcelona, claiming they should have treated Zlatan Ibrahimovic better during his spell at the club.
The Sweden international lasted only one season at Camp Nou between 2009-10, before he was shipped out to the Rossoneri on loan.
But the 22-year-old striker is of the belief that the Blaugrana should have persisted with the former-Ajax man for longer.
“I think [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic deserved to have been received differently by Barcelona,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. “He is a great player with a big heart.”
The Serbian-born goalscorer also praised former bosses Frank Rijkaard and Pep Guardiola, singling out the Dutchman for special praise.
“[Frank] Rijkaard had complete trust in me. It was a difficult year when he left, but he has a great personality. I had a relationship with him that I haven't had with anyone else," he added.
“For all he has won, I think [Pep] Guardiola is probably the best coach in the world.”
He concluded the interview by hinting at an uneasy friendship with former team-mate Lionel Messi.
“We have a normal relationship, but since I've been here, he hasn't called me," Krkic revealed.
