Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world, says Granero

The versatile midfielder has voiced his opinion that the Liga champions' reach is unparalleled, and stressed he would never consider a move to Barcelona
Esteban Granero believes that Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world due to their impact all over the globe.

The Liga champions are currently on a pre-season tour of the USA, and the 25-year-old feels that the amount of fans who show up at their games and training sessions are further proof of their status as the biggest club.

"Before, only the people of Madrid went to watch the club, the Real Madrid fans. Now, thanks to our president, who has worked hard on this, the club is the biggest in the world," he told Jot Down Magazine.

"They have a worldwide impact, everyone around the world knows about Real Madrid."

Granero then went on to discuss the possibility of playing for Madrid's arch-rivals Barcelona, and insisted that he would never consider making the move to the Camp Nou side.

"As a Real Madrid fan I could never play for Barcelona, neither in the best of conditions or for all the money in the world. I could not because of my principles. I would be incapable of doing so."

The 25-year-old midfielder is under contract with Madrid until June 2013.
