Nothing is impossible, says Real Madrid president Florentino Perez
The club president spoke positively of the club's pre-season preparations, before insisting that the Spanish champions have been great ambassadors for the country
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has lavished praise on the city of Los Angeles before claiming "nothing is impossible" in terms of what the club can achieve this season.Jose Mourinho's side are currently undergoing pre-season on the west coast of the United States, having completed a 5-1 friendly victory over Los Angeles Galaxy earlier this week.
The Madrid board member took time to speak positively of the pre-season tour, adding that Los Blancos have benefitted from good conditions whilst in the United States.
"Our stay here has become a tradition. We are very happy that these lands in California have become our summer home," the 65-year-old said in a press conference he attended alongside the Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa.
"Mourinho and the coaching staff considered this the perfect place to tackle the season in the best conditions. This city provides the best of environments and we know that it continues to increase, very considerably, its love for football.
"Real Madrid has no boundaries. Real Madrid has been one of the best images of our country and has become an extraordinary ambassador. This is a spirit formed over many years due to the club holding the conviction that nothing is impossible."
The Spanish champions encounter Mexican outfit Santos Laguna on Monday, with the new Liga season pencilled to start on August 18.
