Mourinho: It is not a problem if Kaka stays at Real Madrid

The Brazilian midfielder, who signed for Los Blancos in 2009 for €68.5 million, has been linked with a return to AC Milan, but a final decision on his future has yet to be made

Jose Mourinho has stated that it would not be a problem for him if Kaka were to stay at Real Madrid for another season.

AC Milan are keen to lure the attacking midfielder back to Serie A, but his proposed transfer has been put on hold as the San Siro side struggle to meet the financial demands of both Madrid and the player.

"The important thing is that he thinks about his personal happiness when he makes a decision about his future. It is not a problem for me if he stays at Real Madrid," Mourinho told reporters.

"We will be happy if he decides to stay put, but we will also be satisfied if he decides to move on in his pursuit of happiness.

"We know each other well and have been through a lot. We had a season where he was being plagued by injury, and then he struggled to break into the first team. I know how he feels and what's on his mind."

Kaka's contract in the Spanish capital runs until the summer of 2015.
