Silvio: I have a score to settle with Atletico Madrid
By Tom Webber

The 24-year-old failed to make an impact in an injury-plagued debut season in the Spanish capital but is focused on returning to action and helping the team move forward

The full-back made just nine appearances in a debut season with the Rojiblancos that was wrought with injury after his €8 million transfer from Braga and he is now concentrating on putting his failed first term behind him.
"It is true that I have a score to settle with Atletico because I started well but then could not," Silvio told Marca.
"I was always injured. I think the games I played in last season I did well. It was difficult, but it has made me grow.
"I feel better on the right [of defence] and it is the position for which I will fight. It will not be easy, but everything in life is gained through work."
Silvio outlined his hopes for Atleti to have a more consistent campaign and spoke of his desire to return to action soon, eyeing a possible appearance in the Uefa Super Cup against Chelsea on August 31.
"If Cholo [Diego Simeone] wants me to play against Chelsea, I will give everything I have to help the team," he affirmed.
"Last season we started badly and ended well. I hope that we are much stronger from the start and make it easier for ourselves.
"I miss competing and my first objective is to play again. Currently there are no other [targets]."
