Eusebio expects Tello to make step up at Barcelona next season

The reserve team coach expects the young attacker to be part of the senior squad at Camp Nou in 2012-13, despite the player being familiar with the B team set-up

Barcelona B coach Eusebio has revealed that Cristian Tello will be included in the first-team squad at Camp Nou next season.

The young forward shone intermittently for the Catalan first-team when used towards the end of last season, impressing as a substitute against Valencia, before failing to impose himself when named as a starter against Real Madrid in the Liga-deciding Clasico fixture in April.

Tello had been linked with a loan move away from Barca in a bid to gain valuable top-flight experience, but in his first press conference of the new season, the reserve boss is anticipating the youngster to again make an impact with the senior side in 2012-13.

"I understand Tello will be part of the first team but I would be happy to have him with us [the B team]," said Eusebio.

Eusebio also spoke about the summer signing of Joan Angel Roman from Manchester City, commenting: "He is a wide player that can tip the balance, he adds a lot of depth, and can adapt to any of the positions in attack."

Barca B start their campaign at home to Almeria before traveling to the capital to take on arch-rivals Real Madrid Castilla.
