Jordi Alba, who joined Valencia from lower-league side Cornella in 2007, is expected to join the Blaugrana from Los Che this summer, having spent five seasons at Mestalla.
According to Sport, Galvez believes that the transfer will also benefit his former club, who are set to receive a financial windfall should the switch materialise.

The report also reveals that the 23-year-old is "happy about his future and that of Cornerlla", and that he joked with sporting director Andres Manzano.
"The president [Valencia's Manuel Lorente] has to be happy, how much is he going to charge for me?" Jordi Alba asked Manzano, according to Galvez.
Galvez also remains convinced that no deal will be reached until Spain conclude their European Championship campaign.
He added: "I could [disclose] before the end of the Euros, but Jordi is focused on the competition. I think [he] has a preliminary agreement with [Barca], so now it is not in their hands. But, if it depended on him, I think that he would do nothing until the end of the Euros."
Jordi Alba will line up for Spain against France in their Euro 2012 quarter-final on Saturday in Donetsk.
