The 29-year-old has barely featured for Los Blancos since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu last summer from Bayern Munich and is now poised to move to TurkeyReal Madrid midfielder Hamit Altintop confirmed that he has agreed personal terms with Galatasaray.
The Turkey international only arrived in the Spanish capital last summer from Bayern Munich but has failed to nail down a regular berth in Jose Mourinho's starting line-up and the player's agent admitted on Tuesday that his client was on the verge of a move to Istanbul.
"Yes, the reports are true," Altintop told AA. "I have agreed terms with Galatasaray."
Altintop penned a four-year contract after agreeing to join Madrid last May but after a season in which he made just five appearances in La Liga, he has now, according to Marca, accepted a deal with Galatasaray which will net him €3 million per year.
It is not yet known whether a transfer fee will be involved, given that Madrid signed the 29-year-old on a free and Mourinho has already expressed his willingness to allow Altintop leave the club.
