The 48-year-old trainer has flown to the Iberian nation and is expected to be chosen as the man to return the Yellow Submarine to La Liga following their recent relegation
The former Xerez man has reportedly began talks with the Yellow Submarine's president, Fernando Roig, after the club were relegated from La Liga following their final day defeat to Atletico Madrid saw Rayo Vallecano narrowly avoid the drop.
Miguel Angel Lotina is currently in charge of Villarreal, yet he is expected to be replaced in the near future, with Gorosito apparently the favourite to succeed him.
The Argentine coach's only previous spell in Spain came in 2010, when he enjoyed a short spell at Xerez, where he came close to saving the side from relegation to the Segunda Division.
Gorosito's last coaching role was with Argentinos Juniors, but the 48-year-old resigned in February 2012 after suffering a car accident that resulted in intestinal damage and a fractured vertebra.
